Family, friends, and members of the Victorville community are mourning the tragic and sudden loss of 19-year-old Anysha Mott, who was fatally shot Sunday morning in the Eagle Ranch community, leaving loved ones devastated and searching for answers.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded at approximately 11:27 a.m. on June 14, 2026, to the 12000 block of Osprey Lane near Mesa Linda Avenue after receiving reports of an assault with a deadly weapon in the neighborhood.
Residents reported hearing multiple gunshots shortly before Mott was found lying in the roadway suffering from several gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately began providing emergency life-saving measures until paramedics arrived and took over care at the scene.
Mott was transported to a local hospital in critical condition, but she was later pronounced deceased despite all medical efforts to save her life. Her death has left family members and the community in deep shock and grief over the sudden loss of a young woman whose life ended far too soon.
As news of the tragedy spread, friends, neighbors, and community members shared messages of sorrow and disbelief, remembering Mott and expressing heartbreak over the violent circumstances surrounding her death. Many described the loss as deeply painful, especially for those who knew her personally.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division Homicide Detail have taken over the case and are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
During the investigation, Osprey Lane and surrounding streets were temporarily closed as authorities processed the scene, collected evidence, and documented the area. Victorville Public Works personnel assisted with traffic control and road closures throughout the afternoon.
At this time, no arrests have been made, and investigators have not released any information regarding a suspect or vehicle connected to the shooting. Authorities say they are following leads and speaking with witnesses as the investigation continues.
