The family of Laura Lynn Smith is mourning her unexpected passing on June 1st, when she died peacefully in her sleep. Her sudden death has left her loved ones heartbroken as they struggle to come to terms with the loss of a cherished daughter, mother, sister, and friend.
According to a family statement, Laura brought immense joy, love, and light into the lives of those around her, and her passing has created an immeasurable void. Her family described the loss as deeply painful and something they are still trying to process.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Ava Rose Ostrem, who recently turned 16, as well as her brother Matthew Alexander Smith, her sister Carlene Anne Lynch, her brother-in-law Frederick Lynch, and her niece and nephew, Kylee Hunter and Caden Matthew Lynch. She is also survived by her parents, Rickey and Diana Smith, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
To honor her memory, the family has announced a Celebration of Life service scheduled for July 18th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Dauntless Wine Company, a place they say held special meaning for Laura and her loved ones. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate her life. RSVP arrangements have been requested through Carlene Lynch.
